Srinagar, Jan 21, KNT: A residential house was damaged in a fire incident reported from Gassi Mohalla area of Noorbagh in Srinagar on Wednesday evening, officials said.
Officials from Fire and Emergency Services Srinagar said fire tenders were rushed to the spot soon after the incident was reported. The firefighting teams managed to control the blaze in time, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures.
No injuries were reported in the incident, officials said, adding that the cause of the fire was being ascertained.
Locals said prompt action by Fire and Emergency Services helped avert a major mishap in the congested locality. [KNT]
