Fake Gazette PDFs Circulating on Social Media, Students Advised Caution
Srinagar, Jan 14, KNT: Authorities have clarified that the Gazette of Class 10th results currently being circulated on social media platforms does not pertain to the current academic session and is completely fake. The clarification comes amid widespread confusion among students and parents following the circulation of forged PDF gazettes claiming declaration of results.
Officials associated with the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education stated that the Class 10th results for the ongoing session have not been declared so far and will be uploaded shortly as the web portal has faced some glitches. Students have been advised to remain patient and rely only on official announcements issued through authentic channels of the Board.
The Board warned that fake PDF gazettes being shared on social media are the handiwork of miscreants aiming to mislead students and create unnecessary panic. It was stressed that such acts not only cause mental distress to students but also amount to the spread of misinformation.
BOSE officials urged students, parents and locals to verify any information related to examinations and results only through the Board’s official website or authorized notifications. They cautioned against downloading or forwarding unverified documents, stating that strict action may be taken against those found involved in creating or circulating fake result gazettes.
The Board reiterated that Class 10th results will be uploaded after some time today, until then, students have been advised to ignore rumors and avoid trusting unauthenticated sources circulating on social media platforms. [KNT]
