Srinagar 05/10/2024 (JKNN) Residents of Baghi Mehtab, Gousia Colony Lane No. 2 in Srinagar have been dealing with deteriorating road conditions for years.
They urge local authorities to take swift action, as the road has become increasingly difficult to navigate.
Even a minor rainfall leads to severe potholing, making it challenging and dangerous for vehicles and pedestrians. This issue has been ignored for a long time, causing immense inconvenience to the community.
Residents are appealing to the authorities to address this long-standing problem, as safe passage has become nearly impossible in the current state.
Despite repeated complaints, authorities have yet to take action. The residents’ appeals for repairs have so far gone unheard, leaving the community frustrated. “It feels like we’ve been forgotten. Our children can’t walk safely to school, and daily commuting has become a challenge,” shared one local resident. Many have called on the relevant departments to prioritize the repair work, stressing that basic infrastructure like roadways should not be neglected.
The community is hopeful that authorities will take notice of the plight of Gousia Colony and begin road repairs promptly, restoring safe and reliable access for all.
