Delhi/Srinagar: (JKNN) After nearly 27 days of uncertainty, a 69-year-old man from Srinagar who had gone missing in Delhi has been traced safely and reunited with his family, bringing relief to his near and dear ones.
Gulam Qadir Burki, a resident of Khanyar, Srinagar, was reported missing on December 02 after he was last seen around 5:00 PM at Bogal Market in the Kashmiri Park area of Delhi. Following his disappearance, the family sought public help, and the appeal was widely circulated on social media and carried by news agencies.
A major breakthrough came after Delhi-based social media influencer Akram Qureshi shared the missing person post on his platforms. The post was seen by a Delhi fruit seller, Yamin, who recognized the elderly man and promptly informed the family and authorities.
With the combined efforts of Akram Qureshi, Yamin, the police, media persons, and social media users, Gulam Qadir Burki was successfully traced after almost 27 days. He has now returned home safely and is reported to be in good health.
The family has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Akram Qureshi, Yamin, the police, news agencies, and all members of the public who shared the appeal and supported the search, saying their collective efforts made the reunion possible.
