Birla Open Minds International School Pampore Hosts First Inter-School Roller Skating Competition in Collaboration with CRPF

Pampore, September 28, 2024—Birla Open Minds International School, Pampore, made history today by organizing the first-ever Inter-School Roller Skating Competition. The event spanned from Chandhara Crossing to the school campus along NH 44 and featured the participation of 80 students from various districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
Shri B. R. Meena, Commandant of CRPF 110 Battalion, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his inaugural address, he encouraged students to actively engage in sports to cultivate discipline and physical well-being. Shri Kuldeep Singh, Deputy Commandant of CRPF 110 Battalion, served as the Guest of Honour, commending the school’s initiative and underlining the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping well-rounded individuals.
Students displayed exceptional skill and sportsmanship, competing in categories based on age and proficiency. The competition concluded with an awards ceremony where winners were honored with medals and certificates.
Principal Dr. Mehnaz Rehman extended her heartfelt thanks to all participants, dignitaries, and the organizing team for their contributions to the event’s success. She emphasized that this marks the beginning of numerous initiatives aimed at nurturing a strong sports culture in the region.
