Waste Materials including discarded chicken legs Dumped Near Green Valley Educational Institute Entrance Attracts Stray Dogs, Posing Threat to Students’ Safety

19/09/2024 (JKNN) In a disturbing development, some individuals have been observed dumping waste materials, including discarded chicken legs and other refuse, near the main entrance of Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) Ellahi Bagh Srinagar.

The unsanitary practice has become a growing concern for both school authorities and local residents.

The accumulation of such waste is attracting a large number of stray dogs to the area, leading to heightened concerns about student safety.

The presence of these dogs poses a serious threat, as there have been increasing reports of aggressive behavior, raising the risk of dog bites for young students entering and leaving the school.

Parents and school officials are alarmed by the situation, emphasizing that the health and safety of the children are at serious risk. Some parents have expressed their worries, stating that the school environment, which should be safe and secure, is becoming dangerous due to the gathering of stray dogs near the school’s entrance.

Local authorities are urging residents to stop dumping waste in the area immediately. They have issued warnings that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found to be responsible for this harmful practice. Authorities further stressed that maintaining cleanliness in such sensitive areas is crucial for public health and safety, especially for young children attending school.

The community is being called upon to cooperate in keeping the surroundings clean to avoid further issues. If the situation persists, enforcement measures will be implemented to ensure the safety of the students and maintain the area’s hygiene. Residents are strongly advised to dispose of their waste responsibly, away from schools and other public places, or face legal consequences.
