New Delhi – A heartbreaking incident unfolded near Bhayandar station as a father and son tragically took their own lives by lying in front of an oncoming local train.
The incident, which was captured on CCTV, has left the community in shock, police reported on Tuesday.
The CCTV footage shows the duo holding hands and lying on the tracks as the train approached, creating a disturbing visual of their final moments.
The incident occurred around 9:30 AM on Monday, shortly after a local train departed from Bhayandar station in Palghar district, according to a Government Railway Police (GRP) official, as reported by PTI.The deceased have been identified as Jay Mehta, 33, and his father Harish Mehta, 60, both residents of Vasai.Authorities have filed an accidental death case and have begun an investigation into the circumstances leading to this tragic event.
