75-yr-old man charred to death in Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar

Srinagar, Jan 31 (KNO): An elderly man was charred to death in Jawahar Nagar area of Srinagar on Wednesday evening, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the ground floor of a three-storey residential house was involved in a fire at Jawahar Nagar Srinagar.

He added that while clearing the fire debris, the F&ES official found the body identified as Bashir Ahmad (75), laying under the debris.

The body was taken to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities—(KNO)
