4 shops gutted in fire incident in Surankote Poonch

Poonch, Mar 12 (GNS): Four shops were gutted in a fire incident in Bufliaz Market of Tehsil Surankote in this mountainous district on Tuesday.

Official sources told GNS that the fire broke out in the Bufliaz Market this evening, resulting in damage to four shops.

SHO Surankote Mukhtiar Ali when contacted told when contacted by GNS said that that soon after receiving the information about the blaze, a police team quickly rushed to the spot and fire tenders also reached there. He said after hectic efforts, fire was brought under control and prevented from spreading further. Also army played an important role in controlling the blaze, sources said.

They said that shops which were damaged belonged to Shahid Qazi, Bashir Ahmad Khan, Mahroof Ahmad Khan and Shahid Ahmed. (GNS)
