25-year-old youth electrocuted to death at a fish farm in Central Kashmir’s Kangan

Ganderbal, Aug 5, KNT: A 25-year-old youth died due to an electric shock while working at an under-construction private aquaculture farm in the Akhal Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The deceased has been identified as Ubaid Mushtaq Dar, a resident of Palhalan Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources said that the victim was busy erecting an electric pole when he received an electric shock. He fell into the waterbody and was immediately shifted to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
The victim was doing labor at a fish farm owned by a private individual.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
