Moomin Bhat, a 25-year-old athlete from Awanata Bhawan, Srinagar, stands as a distinguished professional football player. Currently serving as a striker for the esteemed Downtown Heroes Football Club, he has notably secured the top scorer position in the team during the recent season.
Moomin’s journey transcends local triumphs, as he actively participated in the Senior Nationals Santosh Trophy 2023 held in Goa, showcasing his skills and unwavering commitment on a national stage. Furthermore, his significant involvement in the renowned tournament, The Durand Cup, in the preceding season, further solidifies his status as a player of noteworthy caliber.
His remarkable achievements not only underscore his goal-scoring prowess but also reflect a commitment to excellence that reverberates in both regional and national football circuits. In an exclusive conversation with JKnews Nation, Moomin Bashir shared insights into his diverse experiences. He disclosed his participation in the I-League third division, representing the Gujarat-based club ARA FC, held in Bhopal. Additionally, he highlighted his role in the U-18 I-League, where he played for Lone Star Kashmir FC in Delhi, showcasing his versatility and impact across various football leagues.
Momin stated that in 2023, he earned the title of “Man of the Match” nine times for Downtown Heroes. In 2022, he secured the “Man of the Match” five times for Downtown Heroes and twice for Ali Jana FC.
