1 person killed, another injured after car falls into deep gorge in Doda

Srinagar, Mar 18 (KS): A person was killed and another injured after a car they were traveling in, rolled down into a deep gorge in Doda on Monday afternoon.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a car skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge on Khilani Marmat link road near village Dugga in Doda.

“The accident resulted in death of one Roshan Lal son of Dina Nath of Marmat and the injuries to another identified as Tanveer Ahmad, son of Fayaz Ullah, also of Marmat,” the official said.

“The injured person has been taken to GMC Jammu for treatment,” added the official.

Confirming the incident, a police official told Kashmir Scroll that they have taken cognisance of the mishap for further investigations. (KS)
